Xiaomi has officially teased the camera module of the Redmi K40 series. The series is expected to arrive in China on February 25, with the brand already confirming the chipset and a battery capacity exceeding 4,000 mAh.
The company General Manager has shared a teaser image on Chinese microblogging website Weibo revealing a triple rear camera setup. In a separate post, he also confirmed that the Redmi K40 will be the Xiaomi sub-brand’s first smartphone series to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC.
The image shows “AI triple camera” that comes with two large sensors, a smaller sensor, a flash, and what seems to be laser autofocus.
Redmi K40 specifications (expected):-
The smartphone features an FHD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Redmi K40 is expected to have AI Triple-Camera with 64MP primary sensor. Three image sensors can be observed from teaser with two being similar in size, with one of them likely being the 108 megapixel primary camera.
The smartphone has 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and has packed a massive 4,000mAh battery with fast-charging support fuels the phone.
Connectivity options on the phone include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C port for charging and data sync.
Redmi K40 is set to have 163.7 x 76.4 x 7.8mm.
The smartphone will be the Xiaomi sub-brand’s first smartphone series to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC.
The teaser image also shared that the launch event on February 25 will start at 7:30pm local time (5pm IST).
